True but why settle for 1 agent?

Why not retain hundreds and let them compete for your deal.

I'm big on loyalty as well but what I have learned is that agents ALWAYS have 1 foot out the door just in case something better comes along.

Loyalty is rare so why take a chance.

First come first served!

I've been on both sides of the coin here.

1. The agent did their job, pay is what it is so if you want to "tip" your agent then by all means do so!

2. The purpose of investing is to buy low sell high to maximize profits, next time just cut the agent in on the deal but in all reality you will never know the specific details of the commission breakdown.

Invest in a fund like caliberco.com or something like home union.

Be an investor not a landlord!

Diversify with built in management

In all honesty, an agents sole purpose is to put as many eyes on your property as possible to procure an offer.  That's it, marketing!  Forget gimmicks, fancy advertising, lame pitches... what you want in an agent is access to their network of agents, buyers and sellers.

You are great at what you do but you may not like certain aspects of the business.

Would you work with a firm who would handle the behind the scenes operations similiar to a talent manager?

I always played matchmaker similiar to an agent.  I'd negotiate the price of any house listed or not down to where I know I could assign the contract for a few thousand dollars.

I worked on volume versus 1 or 2 large scores.

10 deals per month at 2-3k a piece

the most valuable commodity to me is information and when working in the real estate industry who has access to real time data more than realtors?

They have everything you need. Buyers, sellers, pocket listings, they will spend their own time and money to market and find what you need.
