Good evening BP! Just curious  if any of you know any good ways to sound proof a common door that enters down to the inlaw/basement where we will be house hacking for a year? We plan to set up a hotel style double door with deadbolts for security but would be nice to have some sound proofing? Do you guys have any input? Thanks!

I Appreciate everyone’s input thank you so much my lowest quote now is $9700 and I’m going to try to negotiate in a auto shutoff valve while they are at it…after multiple points of views so far 10k seems to be the average. We’ll see if I can get more insight but I want to complete the work to start generating some income …it would complete to top half of the split level so We can start house hacking the in-law down stairs…again thanks everyone i really helps out

Thanks Scott!

The closet is right outside the bathroom so the plumbing lines should be right there. Also the attic crawl hatch is right outside the closet. Its on the 2nd floor. Yes, will have to shop around. I appreciate your insights Scott thank you.

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has converted a small closet into a space for a compact stackable washer/dryer area in a single family home. Anyone with experience have any tips in keeping the cost down with this project? First quote was 10k not including appliances which is higher than I expect from research of cost associated. Any help is appreciated. I am located in the Bay Area if anyone would like to refer. Thanks.

Hi all,

I am reaching out to BP community asking for reccomendations for a great GC in the area. One who works with investors. ADU conversion experience would be great as we are planning on converting a garage into a kitchen. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Hi all,

I am interest in St Louis but I have no network or contacts in this market? I am mobile and have a career as a journeyman union electrician where I can travel while working. I am calling on BP community to point me to some great people to work with in the market. Any insights, recommendations, or general information are encouraged! Thanks guys!
