Gordon T. - Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for. Can you explain the process to me and let me know how long it took you? I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you again!

Mike G. - That's exactly what I was wondering. Anyone know the answer to this?

Mark Ferguson - I did talk to a local CPA. They said I'm unable to elect my llc as a s-corp if I'm a licensed realtor.

I've done some research on allied school and I'd rather go with another school. Thank you though Chris Weiler.

Any other suggestions?

Brian P - Okay, I'll have to give DRE a call asap. To make sure I'm understanding you correctly, are you saying that when I choose to elect my llc as a S-corp, I need to be a broker or hire a managing broker? If I hired a managing broker, what would be their role?

The advantages for being a S-corp: tax benefits + liability protection since my entity is llc.

Hey everyone,

I've decided to get my RE license. My reasoning is, if I come across any issues in the future concerning the structure of my business and my business plans, I can always become unlicensed.

Now I need to find a reputable online school to get my license. I'm looking for the quickest place and the cheapest. Any suggestions? I'm in CA in case that matters.

Maher Bateh - I'm stuck on this same decision due to my future business plans. However, as Brandon Turner suggested, most people will tell you YES. I believe I'm going to get it so I can start out with as much knowledge and access possible. If I decide it's not for me, I can always get unlicensed.
