I live in South Philly where the norm seems to be 3 bed 1-1.5 bath SFH.

I am wondering what the best way to seek out MFHs is in Philly, or to @Troy S.'s point "you may be better off going after a mixed-use building or a 5+ unit building" how to best locate these properties...

Residential. I would like to focus more on working with buyers, but not buyers exclusively.

Morning BP,

As I near the end of the coursework to acquire my PA Real Estate Salesperson License, I am starting to think about with which broker I should seek employment. I am leaning towards one of the larger commercial brokers because of the training I believe they will be able to offer me. I would love any advice on this matter. Additionally, what are the fees like with a larger broker versus a smaller broker? Any tips for an agent starting out would be very very welcome too. I am in the Philadelphia area.

Thanks!

James

Great coverage of pros and cons here, one strategy I have seen work extremely well in regard to minimizing turnover is marketing to student athletes. They will always have teammates that are younger, and if they are your tenants when they geaduate they can set you up with people to fill your property.

I am curious if this event will still be taking place, in light of the snowstorm.

Good evening BP,

I live in South Philadelphia and am very motivated to become a Real Estate agent in the city. I am wondering if any of the larger brokers cover the cost of the two 30 hour courses, in turn for associating with that particular Broker upon completion.

I finished the Fundamentals portion online at realestateexpress.com, but was held up on proceeding any further because of difficulty finding an acceptable way for the Fundamentals exam to be proctored. Given all of this, I would like to restart from the beginning, preferably in an actual classroom.

I am reaching out to all of you for feedback on what Brokers would be best to get me completed with the initial coursework, AND which offer good training for new agents.

I am very excited and anxious to start moving forward with a career in real estate, and am confident with the right guidance, benefits will be had by both me and whatever broker I choose.

Thanks for any and all help!

James
