@Curt Smith Thanks for your comment and I appreciate your feedback/tips. However, there were quite a few assumptions that you’ve made in your reply.

I am part of the Atlanta REIA and have read the book that you recommended (amongst other educational resources & my own RE experience). Also as I mentioned in my post I have been in contact with a few GC's and I was just looking to get additional recommendations. I don't mind backing out as I have the flexibility to do so at this point.

@Mark Gaskins Thanks for sharing and I’m sorry to hear about your situation. Hopefully you’re able to find replacements for the work and appreciation allows you to exit without losing much. Was the property in SF (I see you’re from there) or ATL?

Hello BP!

I got my first flip in Atlanta under contract and am now in the due diligence phase aiming to get some bids for the project. It is a 3/1 1025 sq/ft in SE Atlanta that needs a lot of work. Does anyone have a good licensed GC that they would recommend? I have a couple I've been in contact with but one is unavailable and ideally I'd like to have more options prior to DD period ending (6/8).

I've reached out to several options already through my own research but hope any local investors can help provide recommendations as well. Thanks in advance.

Hello BP,

I am looking to startup my real estate investment company and I am looking for referrals for an accountant and attorney in Atlanta who have experience working with Real Estate Investors. I'm seeking guidance on picking the right legal entity as well assistance on future deals.

Thank you!

Thank you @Julio Gonzalez, @Holly Barrett, and @Dmitriy Fomichenko!

@Brenden Mitchum, these are all great tips, I appreciate the detailed breakdown! I've actually moved to Atlanta recently so I won't be investing OOS, but nonetheless your points about great agents and wholesalers still reign true since I'll still be working full time. I'll reach out to learn more about your perspective on the market here.

@Curtis Rouse Jr Thanks for the warm welcome. Would love to hear your take on the market and more about your experience here. I'll dm you.

Greetings Atlanta BP Community!

I’m a software engineer and RE investor who is originally from NYC but recently relocated to Atlanta.

I got my start in RE when I partnered with my brother to flip a duplex in Brooklyn, NY and subsequently purchased another duplex in Jersey City, NJ where I house hacked with my wife while using the other unit as an AirBnB. I'm seeking to grow my business in Atlanta by using HML (as well as private funds I've raised) to first conduct a few single family flips as a means to raise funds for multifamily BRRRR opportunities at scale.

I’ve been a fan of BP for a while so I’m truly excited to build genuine relationships here!

Warm Regards,

Jensen Bouzi

Hello BP Community! This is actually my first post and would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself before diving into my question. I'm a 25 year old software engineer and new real estate investor who's already taken the plunge and done their first deal: I recently closed on my first flip with my partner where we renovated and sold a 2-family in Brooklyn.  The deal was very successful and inspired me to continue to take things to the next level. While I was in the process of purchasing this property I discovered BiggerPockets and immediately got hooked on the podcast and the forums.

This brings me to the question I'd like to pose to the PB community. I will be getting married soon and plan to invest with my future spouse. I am fortunate that she is just as passionate about investing as I am and we've begun conducting a long term investment strategy that will begin post marriage. We both are dedicated to building wealth and firmly believe that relying on a job for long term financial security is setting yourself for failure. We also plan to move to  Austin, TX at some point after marriage.

My main concern is whether or not I would be able to allocate resources (time and money) to investing with both my wife and original partner separately. Would it be wise to try to do both or should I walk away from my partner sooner rather than later in order to focus on building wealth with my future family? Due to the deferring goals of my business partner and future wife, it wouldn't be wise for all 3 of us to go into deals together. For those investors who are married and/or have some type of experience with this situation, what do you think would be the best course of action?

Any advice and wisdom would be much appreciated!
