I appreciate your time. No, she is not claiming hardship. I believe she is making more money by claiming unemployment that is why DSS disqualified her for extra cash.

Thank you. Yes, they paid. Just the $253 the government discontinued they haven't pay.

Hello all,

The department of social service has been  paying $253 a month part of the rent for my tenant. However, they discontinued her program because she is receiving unemployment now. I informed her which she said ok and ask the DSS number.

They have been good tenants and payment every month. I haven't received the $253 for March and they didn't say anything. How do I go about collecting the money and telling them moving forward they have to pay the full rent?

Hi all,

I'm doing a two family house hack in NYC. I closed the property on November 2019.
