I'm looking to 1031 exchange a California property for a few cash flowing properties with a turn key company. I was told to avoid buying in winter months because it's hard to find tenants during those months. Should I wait until spring?

hello rose. I live in Hawaii as well. I'm glad to see more of us on bigger pockets. 

I went to my very first hiRei meeting last night in Hawaii. I met a lot of new people and am looking to meet more like minded out of state investors from Hawaii. If anyone went to the meeting or are current members please message me. I would like to share experiences.

i guess that's the main problem. I know the local area in Hawaii because I live here but have no way to find out the local area of Indianapolis outside of web sites. If anyone can tell me the local neighborhoods I should focus on that would be really helpful. 

I am trying to research more about investing in Indianapolis.  On home facts it says that Indianapolis has a high crime rate.  should I stay out of that area and find something on the outskirts? Could any investors in the area share their experiences?
