We found a home we love! We are thrilled to finally see a home that has everything we need and even a few great things we want in our price range and with the ideal commute. And because we found it. We know others did too.

With the market as competitive as it is, what tips do you have to help us get our offer seriously considered and hopefully shine among the others?

I jumped into learning about real estate investing, knowing nothing and having so many questions just weeks ago. I got " How to Invest in Real Estate" Brandon Turner, for Christmas and read it in 2 days. With burning questions and preparing to be a first time home buyer and hopeful investor, I came to bigger pockets. Nervous, I posted my first question, feeling ashamed of how little I knew from my one read, but reassured by Brandon's words to not let fear hold me back.

Over the last two weeks, I have made connection and started networking faster than ever before. The community here at bigger pockets is so open to teaching, uplifting and sharing! I've learned so much and have a new confidence in what I know and what I don't yet know from connecting with so many of you!

I'm looking to keep learning and sharing what I've learned with anyone willing to do the same. I'm in Maryland, looking to buy/invest in the Northern VA area. I haven't quite landed on my niche but am exploring house hacking, flipping, or BRRRR (so many possibilities!).

I just wanted to share what my experience has been with BP in hopes it continues to inspire new members and those learning like myself!

Happy New Year! May 2021 bring you good health and great wealth!

@Vanessa Bautista literally just finished Brandon Turner " How to Invest in Real Estate: The Ultimate Beginner's Guide to Getting Started". My husband bought it for me as a Christmas gift. I'm so new to all of this and some how feel like I can take in the world with the knowledge I've gained reading this book!

@Bud Gaffney buying my first home! In addition finding ways to make my investment in my first home profitable on the long run!

Hi @Cassidy Burns . Thank you so much for your insight. I have attended the NACA course. We are now entering the counseling phase, however, we are keeping our options open and really looking to make the most out of our first home buying experience.

Thank you for your insight @Russell Brazil . Any suggestions for us to remain competitive if an all cash deal is just not possible at this time?

Hi Bigger pockets!

My husband and I are starting our journey to home buying and seeking a NACA CERTIFIED agent in in the DMV to help us seek out our dream starter property! We would prefer multi family property to get started.

Hello Bigger pockets!

I am new to the community and a soon to be first time home buyer. My husband and I are in the DMV (Maryland to be more specific), and are seriously considering house hacking. We are also members of NACA and will soon be meeting with our counselor to discuss in detail how to get the most benefit from the program. I would love to hear any advice from house hackers on getting started, guidance from anyone who is also a NACA home hacker, and any DMV real estate agents with Multi family property/NACA CERTIFIED that would be interested in working with us in the new year!

Thanks!
