Hello,

Im from Poughkeepsie, NY, 1.5hr outside of NYC.  I've recently began educating myself on RE about 3 weeks ago. Listening to Podcast and Reading books. Somehow I stumbled on a property that just got listed.

It is: 12 beds, 2 baths, 2,640 sq ft, 8,276 sq ft lot

The asking price is 69,900. The home is in pretty good condition. Apartments rent on average for around 1,500 in the area.

I would love to possible whole sale this property or keep it as a possible rental. What can be my next steps? I am a recent college grad with little funds saved up. Do I just walk away and wait until I'm ready or can I structure a deal that allows me to profit.

Thanks for the valuable insight Brett Snodgrass . I'm living in the DC area looking to break into real estate as well. Good luck to everyone in their journey and hope to see you around the BP site more. I would like to add you guys as friends on BP but I guess it doesn't work like that. Still learning how to navigate my way through the site lol.

Hello All,

My name is Jarrid Williams. I am a recent graduate of Wagner College in New York, transitioning to Washington DC metro area, Arlington, VA more specifically. I started Fall 2015 in a MBA program studying Marketing while playing my last year of college football. At the conclusion of my season I was being highly recruited to play in the NFL. I delayed my MBA studies to train for the NFL. I went through the combine process and had the opportunity to do a few workouts with NFL teams but ultimately was not signed to a team.

After taking a semester of my MBA, chasing my dream to the NFL, I am ready to start my career in Real Estate. I'm joining BiggerPockets after listening to about 50 podcasts with the hopes to continue learning and connect with likeminded individuals. I am currently looking for a job in Real Estate. I want to immerse myself in the culture, learn the market place, creative financial strategies, and exit plans while saving money to invest in multi family units.

I am looking for any advice, connections, and work I can do. Please feel free to reach out.
