@Rolando Maydon Awesome!  I am moving back to Houston this summer.. (lived there from 2010-2012), and I also worked in oil & gas for a few years.  My specialty is more flipping houses, but I am actively trying to network with other investors in the area before I move back in July.  I'll send you a colleague request so we can keep in touch!

@Mark Hooks Definitely network as much as you can on BP with local investors.  Read some of the books in the resources tab, especially the J scott house flipping books!  They are better than any book you can buy in the store.

@Stephen Watkins you are definitely in the right place! there is a ton of support on here from the Atlanta area.  When you post about things in the future, continue to mention specific cities/areas around atlanta you are interested in investing in.  That way, the other investors on BP get those keyword alerts, and can jump into discussion with you.  Glad to have you.  Enjoy the ride!

@Derek T., you should blog about your flips, even if you do a few a year.  I just started doing it, and you'd be surprised how many people want to follow your investments via a decent wordpress site.  It does add an extra bit of responsibility on you though, to update pics every week or so.  Keep up the good work my man.

@Stephen Davis Welcome my man.  It's certainly an exciting time absorbing all this knowledge in the beginning.  I don't know exactly where you live, but in my opinion, its much nicer for a new investor to be in a smaller city, with more affordable deals and less competition.  Try to network with locals on BP, and try to find a local contractor that you can trust to work on your properties, even if they are just rentals that need a little bit of work.  BP has tons of great resources... enjoy using them!

@Robert Perry Welcome!  Great advice  @Paul Timmins...  Definitely an exciting time.  A lot of people in your position, Robert, start by purchasing a duplex or triplex, living in it, and renting out the remainder to entirely or mostly knock out their living expenses.  If you want to get into flipping, I would try my best on BP to network with local investors.  So, make sure when you post, list a few of the cities you are looking to invest in, so local investors around you in KY get those keyword alerts.  Exciting times my man

That seems like an awfully big project.  Have you had an inspection done yet?  With a property that large, I would worry about some repairs you might run into.  Also, curious what kind of financing you would be seeking for this one.  What city is it in?

@Victoria DeCristoforo That's great!  Try to network with local Philly investors, and make sure to post the names of the citiies you are working in so the investors around there get keyword alerts.  I think there are a decent amount of duplexes in Philly, depending on the neighborhood.  Best of luck, & welcome!

@Derek T. That's nice work man!  Did you work with these contractors before?  I have been in the position of having to switch/fire contractors in the beginning, and unless you have a nice backup, it can be tricky to recover into people you can trust.  Just curious why you fired & how you rehired.  Very nice work my man.  Do you have any more pics of this?
