hello bp,

i am currently working on reading as much as i can on here but unfortunately i cant find an answer to my question. i plan on mainly staying in buy and flips as well as buy and hold. my question is, will a real estate license benefit me or not? i know if i was doing wholesales it would be beneficial but im not sure if it would benefit me or just hold me back from my initial plunge date (looking into early 2017).  i plan on starting in pueblo and colorado springs. any input would be greatly appreciated!!

thanks a lot,

James

I am so excited to have found this site it is full of so much information I feel like I can be reading for a long time. Also thanks to all the people from Colorado for offering your support. I feel as if I keep reading on this site and begin brainstorming with some of there will be no room for failure. I am determined to make this work for so many different reasons.

thanks for the reply. I have a decent savings not nothing to boast about but coming from a low income family it feels like a lot. I do however have my wife who has supported my dreams and plans thus far and knows for the first year or two times will be a little tough. Denver is not my target city I feel like competition there may be a little ahead of me but I plan on starting in colorado springs seeing as the median housing seems a little cheaper as does the cost of living. My favorite success story has to come from an old boss of mine. It's a true rags to riches story. He started with less than $10,000 and his first rental unit. He built from there into over 60 houses before going through a divorce and losing half of everything. Now he has over 100 properties.

Hello BP members. I'm currently in texas about to move to Colorado in November. Along with my move I plan on removing myself from traditional work and launch myself into the exciting world of real estate I have seen a few success stories first hand but have little knowledge of the behind the scenes area of the business. Any tips are greatly appreciated
