My CPA said that it was OK from IRS's standpoint and it is also legal. I will make an appt. with a commercial attorney also.

Thank you so much, your answers help.

Sorry for redundant questions, It is just that it is a confusing situation for me. Next time (if any) I will be more clear about the rental being on LLC's name.

Thanks,

Just to be on the safe side, the rental will not be on LLC's name but I intend to make lease contracts on LLC's name? Legal?

It is unusual but it is convenient for me at this time but most of all I want it to be legal.

Thank you so much

That was actually the question, if it is legal. Nobody wants to manage the company illegaly.

Just that the bank would be more willing to give the loan on my name than on LLC's because the LLC is new and doesn't have assets. But I wanted to keep privacy as much as possible.

Thanks

Hi,

If you already have an LLC but the rental is still in your name and it is not easy to transfer on LLC' name, can you manage the property through the LLC to keep your name private?

Thanks

Hi everybody,

Does anybody know if it is legal to manage your own rental property through your LLC without being in LLC's name? And by managing I include having the leases made on your LLC's name?

The only reason for this is name protection because there is no liability protection since the rental is actually in your name.

Thanks a lot,
This forum is very helpful.
