Hello Ian, It all depends on what you want to invest in and how much you are welling to put down for example Single or multifamily. 1-4 family is usually 20% down 5 and up is 25-30 % down. Find a property make sure the numbers make sense and figure out how much you have to put down. You can also do a FHA loan 3.5 % down not a big fan of that tho.

Hey Harris, my advice to you is you need to start crawling before walking. Start with a duplex property and work your way up the game. To raise capital you can partner up but I would not suggest that path, you can also try owner finance with the seller , borrow money or just work your Butt off until you reach the capital you need to start like I did. Wish you the best !!

Hello,

I live in Yorktown heights and I would never invest in rentals reason being is

•very high taxes around 7-9% property value Which does not give you a very high cash flow .

Westchester is very hot in flipping I have flipped 2 properties and no more then a month on the market. I really approve in this type of investment for the westchester area.

@0mar Sanchez you have to really get a feel of the area, few examples could be is there a boom in contraction in your area, is transportation close by, is it a working class area, how fare from the city, talk to cops and ask about the neighborhood has it change or still going down hill. Me I perfer to invest in Pelham bay, Pelham parkway etc neighborhoods where I know in 5 years from now I'll have great appreciation and cash flow.
