Yes I have @Mike D'Arrigo! Right now I am working a lot and building up reserves for my first deal. I was only going for creative ideas from experienced investors, surely many people on BiggerPockets have invested a lot less than $10,000 and made something out of it, there money or someone else's. chances are they did not live in NY though lol :)

Thank you for the responses everyone!

I do not plan to invest in Brooklyn NY @David Ducille

Looking for Ideas!

Thank You

@Michael Seeker we are prospective buyers and we have no keys. Also, the person who has the property in her name has no keys because her identity was stolen to purchase it, she has never even been to the property.

We do not know who is really controlling everything. We do know people are living there though. I feel like our best shot is catching a tenant when they are home.

What do you think?

Thank You!

In the process of doing a Short Sale for a property in the Bronx, NY. The bank is ready to appraise but the the property is in the name of a person who has never bought it, lived in it, or seen it... her identity was stolen and used to buy the property in her name.

We do not have the key or access to the home and neither does she.

Any ideas on how this will move forward?

Thank You!

My goal is to save up $10,000 by June and use that money to begin investing into multi-family properties. Looking for suggestions on good markets, tips and tricks to save money throughout the process and anything in between!

Thank You,

Isaac Z Schulman

When the seller has filled out all paperwork to short sale and the negotiations have begun with the bank, what can go wrong that would derail the process?
