Glad to hear your family knew when to get out of a bad deal and cut their losses.
Hope it was prior to 89 - with Chernobyl and all.

We got out early too, right after the meltdown, so i likely have a faint glow to me.
I grew up here in Philly and my English is far better then my Russian but I am fine conversationally. Just don't ask me to write anything down.

I still enjoy the occasional Ukrainian food oddity though that would throw most for a loop. So I am a bit of 2 worlds in some ways. Never hurts to know another language or culture, considering  the number of soviet ex-pats here in Philly and NYC. Never know who is on the other side of a good deal.

Stitcher works very well and great point made about free audio streaming on t-mobile.  Also video streaming is also free on t-mobile so the video podcast that i think was mentioned a few shows back is also gonna be a great addition.

Greetings

Philadelphia native, originally from Ukraine,  that discovered this community via the podcast, joined up because I enjoyed the approach advocated. No 6 month programs, gurus, tuition and scams. Rather, education though books, networking though forums and learning from and becoming mentors to others in your market.

The community seems to provide a certain economies of scale to those involved with respect to learning most elements of real estate . Users provide de facto value to one another.  So, I figured why not join?

Currently I have house to rehab and flip and multifamily to rehab and rent.
My goal is short-term goal is to get some cashflow going; longer term enough cashflow to reach a freedom number that dances in my head nights.

I am interested to network with other Philly Real Estate investors.
I have a mentor, well versed in the market but would love to learn anything people have to share and provide whatever help I can as candidly as I can.
