Investing in real estate? Want to be?  Living in or around Acadia? Then this meetup for "Investors Of Acadia" is for you, join us next month!

We'll start at 6:00pm at the THIRSTY WHALE  (40 Cottage St. Bar Harbor, ME 04609). We'll begin with round table introductions and then continue on to network and socialize for the remainder of the evening. This will be a very informal event as it is our first meetup and everyone will just be getting to know each other.

Our meetings are free and to keep it that way I do ask that you buy a drink or some food (or both) and take good care of the server/bartender so we can continue to use the space for free. Over time perhaps we can find a more permanent venue but I think this would be a great place to start. All levels of investors are welcome, from newbies to the well seasoned. For those of you that are ALSO vendors, please respect that this is a *no sales allowed* kind of meeting.

We will meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, leaving this upcoming meeting to take place on December 14th. Come a little festive and prepared to have a blast and meet other like minded people.

@Tsvetomir "C" Nikolov - Likewise!

Man... we need to chat! I just got my license and am in the middle of the process for getting started with Lynam Real Estate as we speak. I've already read your bio, my friend! We will definitely be seeing each other more as time goes on, let's get together sometime soon if you're free!

My goal is to start doing exactly that, in Bar Harbor. But I am only on my way to getting there at the moment... I hope to get my first investment property next year. I live in Bar Harbor, though. Been here about 2 years. I own a business in Boston but also just got a real estate license and will start working as an agent here in town soon.

@Justin Robinson-Howe I'd love to connect and chat some time if you're up for it.

A year ago this was just talk, but then yesterday I made this idea of mine come to life! Passed on my first try even though I was convinced I was going to fail and have to take the test over.

SO EXCITED to start looking for a brokerage and begin the steps to narrow down on the true goal, being a real estate investor one day! Look out Maine, here I come!!!

I should probably mention... One day by chance I met this nice old man at a local arts and crafts show and I told him I just started my real estate course, only to find out that he started Lynam Real Estate which is right here in Bar Harbor! It was such a coincidence that it kind of felt like it was meant to be, ha. But he gave me his number and I've just been pondering over it ever since. Should I go with a larger operation or work with this guy who's been doing this in the area his whole life? But then again, I may get my foot in the door over there and then barely ever interact with Mr. Lynam. I feel exactly like what you guys are saying, there must be pro's and con's to both. It's a tough call but I really do appreciate everyone's input this is so helpful. Thank you! @Bruce Lynn @Christian Ehlers @Steven Foster Wilson

@Steven Foster Wilson I'm right there with you! I would absolutely love mentorship. I am always trying to be better. It's hard after so many years running your own business with no one to push you but yourself. It would be great to have someone / something to test me again. I'm sure I could go further in the business world but owning a business is brutal for so many reasons. I know this won't be easy either, but it's something different and goes in a direction I want to go towards.
