@Julie Marquez I am very excited to get to Washington and especially the Anacortes area! I may know which duplex you're talking about. The one I have seen was currently occupied with month to month leases which I would prefer to stay away from. But that can be corrected over time. Anacortes does have a lot of older homes that need work so I think there is definitely some opportunity there given the market values. I'll have to listen to that podcast! Bill Allen sounds familiar actually. Thanks for the recommendation!

I am currently involved with the REIA here in Jacksonville, FL. I was planning in joining the REIA there in Washington once I move out there. They're definintely a great place to meet people. Thanks for showing me the BP meetups. I'll check that out!

@Matt Follett Nice to meet you! I am moving to Anacortes in a few months as the Navy will be taking me to NAS Whidbey. Currently I am trying to get a feel for the market in that area. BP has definitely helped me get a lot of the fundamentals down. 

@Julie Marquez I am happy to see there is interest in Anacortes from other investors. It's great to meet you and I hope you find the deal you're looking for! 

Also, if anyone has a solid broker in that area that could assist me I would greatly appreciate it. Trying to make some connections from the other side of the country is an interesting challenge! 

Hey everyone!

My name is Hunter Craig. I am a Naval Aviator, which is my primary focus, however, I have recently decided to pursue real estate from an investing stand point. I was referred to BP and I have really loved what I have read and listened to on the podcast. A wealth of info. 

I currently live in Jacksonville, FL where I am finishing some training. I will be moving to Anacortes, WA in the next few months so I have been watching the market there pretty closely. Right now I am looking for some deals in the Anacortes/Oak Harbor area. I am trying to make some connections with some brokers/wholesalers in the area. 

My investing strategy is primarily going to be buy and hold. I would like to find a distressed property in which I can live in and do most of the rehab my self. Develop some sweat equity before I turn it into a rental. If anyone has some good connections for the Northeast Washinton area I would love the help. Thank you!
