Brad, thanks for the response I greatly appreciate your input! I plan to stay the course and continue to improve my knowledge on the subject and take the leap sooner than later and get the process started. My goals are to be capable of living completely off of my real estate investments by the time I'm 31 and I won't settle for less!
That's awesome to hear that you were able to bounce back like that and keep moving forward instead of dwelling on the past! Congratulations, look forward to reading of more success from you!

Hey ladies & gents, Upon completion of this deployment I'm currently serving on in the Middle East, I plan to seek out and hopefully find someone willing to let me work with them on the weekends (for free of course) in order to get a good idea of how a specific REI business works! Has anyone else had any experience in this and did it help you out? Also if the area I plan to shadow in isn't necessarily the area I plan on investing in would that be a burden or is that okay?

Thanks for the response! The student loan idea actually sounds like a good one, I'll have 100% tuition as well as housing paid for with my GI bill so that would actually work out without having to tack on additional debt!

Hello everyone, I'm relatively new to the whole subject of REI and I'm currently learning new things everyday, however my current plan once my service ends with the Marine Corps is to pursue my MBA at Arizona State full time, however I will have a decent amount of money to invest once I get out and I'd like to start investing as soon as possible. I plan to begin my REI career in the Phoenix/surround Phoenix area, how realistic is it to begin investing while going to school full-time? Will I have the time to balance the two? And Is there other options that are recommended such as wholesaling, etc in order to build up more funds in order to fund a bigger deal once I graduate? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Hello everyone,

I'm 21 years old and have been serving on active duty as a US Marine for the past 3 years and plan on attending college at Arizona State to begin the pursuit of my MBA in 2 years immediately after I finish my enlistment, but my "big time" goal in life is to become a multifamily real estate investor and create my own chain of luxury apartment complexes all over the United States and potentially all around the world, and from there become a venture capitalist and invest in small tech startups that have huge potential, but just not enough funds to get it started.

I'm still currently educating myself on the subject of real estate investing and real estate in general (reading books, listening to podcasts, studying markets in different areas, etc) and I look forward to networking and learning from all of you here and potentially even shadow/work with some of you sometime in the near future!
