My name is Hayden Wright I graduated from the University of Houston this past May and began my first full time job about a month ago. I have been researching RE investing for the last two or three years and am finally ready to take action and purchase my first property. I have been been debating a lot recently whether I should be putting money into other retirement vehicles such has a Roth IRA, 401k, mutual fund, index fund or should I be staying liquid saving my money to buy my first property? Is this something I should be deciding on my own or should I meet with a financial advisor?

I appreciate your advice and wisdom in advance!

How much did the rehab cost? I have just stumbled across a similar deal in Conroe, Tx and am unsure whether it would be a good first property.

@Frank Patalano I’m a 21 yo student at the University of Houston. I’ve been interested in real estate for the last 3 or 4 years in real estate and have been learning aimlessly through podcasts, books, seminars, and clubs, but I’m still not sure how to start. I want to start more than anything, but I’m not sure if my first steps and then what happens after. If anyone has been in my position or is able to offer some words of wisdom it would be greatly appreciated!
