Should a new investor pay 5,000-7,000 for a real estate mentor/coach?

Thanks Joan-- So far the hardest part for me is trying to predict numbers such as ARV and market value. I start asking my realtor more questions!

Thanks for the input Kelvin-- I made an offer of 35,000 and it got turned down. I ended up at 35000 by doing the calculations .... Move on to the next one.-

Jon- A contractor provided me estimate but I am thinking about requesting a second opinion. After fix up 95,000--thanks again for time and posting

I am interested in making an offer to purchase a house via short sale. The house is in pre-foreclosure. I am trying to figure out my offer price. The house foreclosure est. is 52000 and the zestimate on Zillow.com is 87000. My realtor suggested an offer of 50000. I think the house needs 20000 worth of work. How do I decide on an offer price and do I need more information. This is my first real estate investment- my goal is to fix and flip. Thanks for time- Hadlock
