Should a new investor pay 5,000-7,000 for a real estate mentor/coach?

I spend over 10k in seminars, boot camps phone mentors. I learned more practical usable information on how to run a successful rehab business from two local guys, a successful rehabber and a general contractor, for free, than I did from all the seminars boot camps and mentoring I paid a premium for.

That's not to say there aren't valuable paid coaching programs available.

But if you read a dozen books on real estate investing, spend a few month reading bigger pockets, listening to the podcasts until you understand the principles of the strategy you are interested in. Then spend your 5k-7k on a property, and learn the next steps as you go, I suspect you will be much further ahead.
