I have a property under contract and the title company has completed multiple Affidavit of Heirships but have hit a wall. The remaining heirs don't have enough information to complete the remaining Affidavit of Heirships. The title company has recommended getting an attorney involved. Does anyone have an attorney in the Houston area who can help?

Just checking again. Does anyone know an attorney that may be able to assist with this?

My understanding is that since there was no will, we need affidavit of heirships and no probate is needed.

Thanks. When you say negotiate with the buyer, how do I negotiate? What’s my angle? Any Title companies and Attorneys recommended?

I have a deal under contract and we are having some trouble getting clear title. Title has been working on this for a few months. They have completed a few affidavit of heirships but have a few more that need to be done but the heirs don't know a lot of the info ie marriage date/place, date/place of death. Do you guys know what can be done in this scenario?

I was thinking that but the area isn't the best area. I'm wondering if anyone has had success with that in this area.

Hi All,

I have a fully renovated unit and I'm exploring short/medium term rentals. I have experience with long term rentals but not short/medium term rentals. The home is located in the 77033 zip code. Is this an area where this type of rental will work? What type of occupancy rate should I expect? Is using a property manager a good idea?

Sounds like DSCR is the way to go. We purchased the property in June. I spoke to two different lenders and they both require 6 months title seasoning. Are there any lenders who don't require 6 months?
