Are you looking for resale, buy, rehab?

 Hi Kerry,

First, thanks for responding to my question.

I am looking for buy and holds and am not opposed to buy, fix and holds.  I would consider getting out of them when the area picks up a little but I think that will be in about 5 - 7 years.

Any advice on who to talk to would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

George

Where do you recommend investing in the city for buy and holds?  I am just starting to look at Detroit.  I know people a heck of a lot smarter and richer than me are starting to invest in Detroit.

Awesome.  Thanks.

Hello,

I am looking for an investor friendly agent in Indianapolis.  I am looking to get into the Bates-Hendricks and/or Fountain Square areas.  Have you worked with a realtor you can recommend?

This is the first topic I started on BP so please forgive me if I have messed up any part of this.

I like that you and your wife have clear plans of what you want to accomplish, that's great.  Looking forward to seeing you around the site.

Mehran,

If you don't mind me asking how is your investment going in Indianapolis?  Can you recommend a good realtor or property manager?  I am looking to invest in the area and trying to find good people to talk to.

Thanks.

Hello,

I have a weird situation.  I know through a friend that someone in my area is interested in selling but only has the address that is potentially for sale.  Through some minor googling, I was able to find the owner's name.  I tried to look up an email or phone number for the potential seller and came up empty.  With that said, I did find what I am 99% sure to be him on facebook.  Can I ask him over facebook if he owns the property and if he s willing to sell?  Is this taboo?  How can I word it?

Thanks.

I would check out simplisafe security systems.  They are portable and have no contract so you can move them to your next rehab project when you're done with this one and cancel the plan when having a security system isn't necessary.

Hope that helps.

My Dad lived in Janesville and I went to Beloit College for undergrad.  I love it up there.  Best of luck to you.
