Quote from @Jillian Cullinane:

Hi,

Hello there, first time investment property buyer here. My husband and I are looking to buy a small condo in St. Augustine for short term rental. We are in conversation with Bank of England and the loan officer is suggesting we go with a DSCR loan. I don't have all the details yet since I'm supposed to chat with him this afternoon, but I just want to know if we should continue with this lender. Please let me know if we should run away from BOE or pursue other lenders in Florida. We can put 20% down. Thank you.

Jillian

I would not recommend them @Jillian Cullinane! They are on the decline and fighting to survive. Their corporate offices are in Arkansas and they are struggling. They may be bought or merged with another company in the next 6-9 months like many IMB lenders and regional/local banks/CUs who are struggling right now.

@Wendy Thurst I would be glad to connect with you on this for low downpayment solutions for this 4th property & house hack! Academy Mortgage is a portfolio and direct lender with lots of tools in our toolbox to assist house hackers and investors with creative solutions.

Hey @Sean Starkey! It depends on your blended rate, but also the peace of mind with having a fixed rate in this lending environment can be a real asset. Especially with teh uncertainty around the Fed continuing to rasie rates going forward this year.

HI @Jim Harper, I would not recommend Lender finder to be honest. This is simply just lenders paying biggerpockets to generate leads for them when you click on their find a lender page just like find an agent. You are not getting the absolute best lender or agent in most cases, just those who buy leads instead of creating lasting client relationships and working by word of mouth referrals. Thats how real businesses are grown, not paid leads.
