I inherited a house in Haiti that's is worth about 300 k U.S at the minimum . My dilemma is this I don't know the island ,it's not the safe according to my mom. My aunt manages the property and we never bother her about any money we just allow her to  provide for herself and other family members. My aunt is in a mid 70's . And I don't want anything to happen and we loose out on selling property. The motivation behind selling the house is that my younger brother  is ill and we going to need the money In the states so he can be taking care of. I recently connected with a realtor who sells houses in Haiti who is license in Jacksonville Florida. Do any one have any idea on what steps to take on selling the house with out putting my life on the line.  My aunt is aware that we want to sell the house and she have no problem with it . My brothers and I agree to place into a smaller home in Haiti

Can someone please give  me  a detail information on exactly what knowing Your market is?

I know the area I want to invest in, and I'm assuming that knowing your market is have the understanding on how much the property you interested in is going for ? The crime rate, school score, employment rate, and what the future holds for that area. Where can I get that information from? I apologize if I should know this already ,

Do you have a specific REIA that you recommend I visit?

Hello BP nation , my name is Frank D. I'm from New York City but I currently live in Atlanta. My educational background is in building automation technology. I have read several books on real estate investing, however the information that I gathered did not give me the confidence to pull the trigger. I've been listening to BP pad cost soaking all the knowledge up and it feels that the information provided by this community superceed all of my previous knowledge  I received on RE investing. My goal is to build a scalable flipping business to build enough capital to get into buy and hold units and to automated them.
