That's good feedback Jennifer. Are there other STR markets you're looking into or even other counties nearby?

I've been on the hunt for a California STR property and Oakhurst seems to be one of the few that are in favor of STRs.

@Gary Mano, @Lindsey Lara and @Adam Poffenbarger would love to connect with you three about your experience in Arnold.

Congrats @Sid Kapoor.

How has the market been since you've gone in? are you getting good cleaners and help there?

There's a house I'm looking at right outside the indy metro area that has a very nice large garage. I'm considering converting it into an ADU for additional rent.

Does any one have any advise on 1) is this supported by the area if you're familiar with the market, 2) any special warnings or things to check before I place an offer.

Thanks @Patti Robertson for the recommendation.

Any tips on vetting property managers when you're working out-of-state. Not just on the ongoing management, but possible due diligence for closing on the house.

I'm starting to build my team and I hear how important it is to find a good PM.
I'm going to purchase my first investment property. I'm in California and will be focusing in the Indy surrounding suburb area.

What tips and processes do you recommend for sourcing and vetting a property manager.
My gut is telling me that I need to find a PM before I lock in on a deal.
I don't have boots on the ground, so I'm looking for one that can be that honest person to be my eyes and ears (in addition to knowing the blocks well).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've been a BiggerPockets member for awhile now, listed to hours and hours of podcasts and I'm getting the itch to finally get started.

I'm based out of San Francisco, CA and looking to invest outside given the market conditions in my area.

I've been exploring the Indy area for a BRRRR. I would appreciate any recommendations for the core four (realtor/deal finder, property manager, contractor and lender)

@Nicole A. did you end up brrrrr-ing the house you mentioned? What was your outcome?

Hi all,

I’ve learned so much from the community and I’m just ecstatic to have such a supportive community.

I’ve been listening to endless podcasts and absorbing as much as possible.

I'm looking to purchase (possibly BRRRR) within the next six months and this group is giving me the encouragement I need.

I’d love to grab coffee with anyone that’s interested - no matter what level of experience. It’s just great meeting people from the community that will eventually be great friends in this journey.

I’ll be at House if Coffee in San Francisco Saturday and Sunday morning at 9am. Actually I sit and have coffee there with my daughter every weekend morning. Love to meet a few of y’all each weekend.

DM me to say Hi.
