I am new to the taxation side of investing, here's where I am at. I waited until the last minute, then filed an extension(good). I used a national tax prep company (bad), and I am certain they missed a lot of deductions that could have lowered my tax burden. Hope the BP family can point me in the right direction. Thank you in advance.

I am currently in search of a property management in the following cities, Cincinatti, OH, Kenosha, WI, and Omaha, NE. I am interested in small multi family 2-4 units in C class or better neighborhoods. I will gladly go for the ugliest house in the good neighborhood. I am an out of state investor working with SD 401k funds.

Thank you

I recently read an article in the New York Times regarding federal money being directed to "Opportunity Zones". To paraphrase a quote from president Trump, the initiative is "designed to draw investment into neglected and under-served communities".  According to the article, this will be good for the communities that this plan serves.

My question to the Bigger Pockets community is :

Is anyone currently investing or has a deeper understanding of the tax benefits to real estate investors in these Opportunity Zones?

Thank you

Reaching out to fellow investors in Cleveland, OH. I am about to put an offer in on a 5 unit in west Cleveland Ohio. I am not familiar with the area, however; from what I have read west Cleveland is a better area to invest in than the east side as far a crime, economy and better neighborhoods. Input from investors in the area will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
