Hi - I want to find out how's the rental market is in Virginia Beach/Norfolk areas. It seems like there are multiple military bases which is a good possibility for rental market, but just want to hear from the folks on the ground of how easy it is to find renters, and what area I should be looking at. I was doing some research on properties and it didn't seem like prices have gone up that much or not at all. Would it be a good place to invest? Any inputs from the local will be much appreciated.

@Account Closed - Very helpful advice! I'm open to all areas but my only concern is to be able to find someone who I can trust to manage my properties since I'm remote. Not sure what's the property manager typically charge in FL area?

Great advices from everyone, thank you so much! I will definitely expand my search into Cape Coral area since all the pointers are going there and it seems very enticing :-). If anyone knows of any good property managers on the ground, please also let me know as well.

@Account Closed - I am looking for a good potential rental property under $160k, in a decent condition since we are remote and I want to minimize the maintenance/rehab. I am considering multifamily unit as well.

Hi - I'm fairly new to BP and need some advice with investing in FL. We are planning to go down to Naples to look for properties. Is there an area in Naples where it could generate a good cash flow for rental properties? The listings that we looked that were sent by our realtor would only generate about 1% cash flow income or less. Or should I look somewhere else for a better deals and where would that be?
