BKE are good people and the cost is generally a couple hundred bucks for their recommendation.

Bingo Trevor. I ve come to realize that, specially on a property on a hill, best way to go is through an engineer and then contact the foundation companies. We have one coming out today and will sure give BKE a call on the next one as I am already a few hundred dollars into it with the current one. Appreciate the help!

Thanks Jason, those 3 names keep on coming up for a good reason. I appreciate the feedback!

My experiences with other foundation companies have not been the best. It comes down to having expertise and professionalism.

Got it thanks Josh! They are one of the ones who are coming out today.

Id say more like best bank for your buck. This is a property in the Hills so it would take someone that knows what they are doing. Ive had some verbals that are crazy expensive so I am looking for a middle of the pack price, that has a solid Rep amongst the community

My GC took a closer look at what was going on and found the real issue was rotted sill plates and then replaced them for 2k.

I am not saying these foundation companies don't know what they are doing but not one of them actually went into the crawlspace to look at what was really going on. I agree with @Trevor Emmett, get an engineer to diagnose the issue before reaching to a foundation specialist.

I also agree with not messing around with getting the repairs done right especially considering your location in the West Hills. I have seen some jobs go south in the hills on foundation repairs and some ended up in court with six figure sums to fight over.

Thanks Jacob. I ve had 2 foundation companies out there now and bot have suggested to get a geo engineer and then they would quote from there. Appreciate the suggestions!

Jay is right-this is an area where you don’t want to mess around!

Thanks Mathew! Western Construction is going out there today. Theyve been efficient so far.

I have a fixer property in West Hills Portland Heights area. There is evidencet that it will need extensive foundation work. We have not yet worked with any foundation companies in the Portland Metro area. Anyone out there have some recommendations?
