A tenant had a water bill 5X the usual due to a leaky toilet. She alerted me of the problem after the $260 water bill came. How would you handle this? Do you think it is the landlord's responsibility to pay some or all of the extra usage? Thanks for your feedback.

"Can you tell the neighbors to stop using WIF? It's giving me massive headaches."

Couple breaks up Friday night. Saturday morning I receive email about mold and they are moving and want refund.

Hey Matt, welcome here. I've recently joined this site and find it to be legit and full of great advice. I highly recommending reading the guides for beginners. Even though I have 18 units, I still learned a ton from them. Best of luck in RE!

Fantastic help and advice here. I live in a small rural town, so it seems that a little patience on craigslist and second hand/thrift/goodwill is the way to go. Thanks everyone!

Hi friends. I want to try furnishing a few units.

Has anyone found a good place or way of finding nice stuff inexpensively?

Thanks,

Gabriel

Hey Phil. I am looking into doing the same in Iowa. From what I've found, a lot of brokers will be fine with you being part time.

Hi everyone. I have been moderately active with rentals in a small town in Iowa for the last 5 years. I have worked my way to owning 14 units ( 3 house, 3 triplexes, 1 duplex). I am here because I want to learn more, do more, make more. I am grateful to be here and have all your help.
