I checked out my trans-union report, and it said that like a measly $7,000 in sallie mae loans that I took out a few years ago are utilizing 48% of my revolving credit. Isn't that going to hurt me when it comes time to apply for a mortgage?
What can I do about this?

Also, where can I see my credit score NUMBER?

Yep its all about the cash reserves for sure, which I plan to have a decent amount of incase something were to happen unexpectedly.

ALL of my debts have been paid off and I dont owe anythign to anybody at this point.

I totally understand what you mean about investing cash and not wasting it (on cars) or hoarding it (in bank accounts)... and I plan to do just that with the cash; INVEST.

thanks 100% for all this information given to me, I really appreciate it and will be putting it all to good use this summer :D

Well Chris, really the biggest advantage to the duplex is it has a nice 3-car garage and is in a bit better location (closer to my work) than the triplex. The triplex has a parkinglot, and is prob 15-20mins further out of an already long drive... but of course, its a triplex and can hold one more person to bring in cash flow.

Awesome input here guys... loving it.

I have a pretty good idea of who I will go with for insurance; but I will for sure shop around.
Thanks again guys.

Omar- Great input! To say that I'm not buying properties to turn around and sell them for a profit would be accurate, although if for some reason I were to ever need them (IE to save up for the 'big kahuna' investment) yielding some marginal profit would be excellent.

So you are basically saying dont worry about getting the loan paid off asap, just focus on banking the extra money and putting it forth into future investments correct?

Brian thanks for the input... I agree and understand what you are saying.

Very good way of looking at it Troy! Bigger=better :D

So going by simple math, cheaper house = cheaper insurance?
