Still Looking to gain a mentor and build a friendship. So far I’ve had no luck I’m even willing to work for someone threw real estate and help first hand to learn the ropes. Local meetups did not help !!

@Jon Hill awesome topic to talk about !! I’m fairly new into the real estate game. My goals go as follows

1. At least read 15 books minimum for they year

2. Find a mentor and partner for real estate

3. Purchase a fixer up and make a profitable flip !

4. Purchase 2-3 rental properties with a partner

5.Purchase my own home wether it be a SFH, duplex or condo

6. Really pursuing my real estate investing career for 2020 is very important to me many say i can’t do it or it’s better to play it safe, i say screw that !!

Anyone mentors want to gain a student im willing to put the time in !! And won’t let you down i appreciate every bit of knowledge i can receive. I hope everyone crushes their 2020 goals !!!

I live in Ny in the 5 borough area. I’m having a hard time debating on what’s a good deal aside from normal deal investing in ny is hard ! So I’ve been looking in jersey as well trying to see if i can pickup a fixer up and flip it. But even that having a hard time finding homes for right numbers since I’m not experienced yet. I’m interested in maybe partnering up with someone in the area who is more experienced and can work a deal out with me , along the way show me some ways of doing things and tips. I have contractor connects so that is a plus ! Who knows maybe we can become partners in the future for future deals ! If nobody is interested can someone at least help me out on determining a good deal from a regular deal ?

Looking to make my first investment with real estate. I am going to buy a house and rent out the side apartment that me and my wife will live in , But besides that, uncertain if i should get into rentals which i don’t understand to much because I’m not sure how you make profitable money off that i guess it’s a long term thing .. or buying houses that are under market value and putting work into them for them to be sold. Advice ?? Looking for help/ mentors/ investment partners etc.
