I am seeking input from a Lenders perspective, on the valuation of property protected by a conservation or development limiting easement.

Is the value actually written down if the property is kept and preforms under its intended use, at purchase?

I have scene in several instances, the limitation on development actually is a premium on the open market.

any insight is appreciated

I hope this is not off topic, but what is the availablity and obstacles to US private ownership of Ukraine farm land. I was under the impression that leases are available and the governement ban on land trades is lifted or soon to be lifted.

The generalization is a harsh one, however built on reality. But to be honest the US is not much better we seem to have rampant corruption in gov. with Nationalisation in the form of prescribed public easements and other forms of eminent domain "takings"

As for the people of Mexico poverty is easily found thus the lower cost of living as well as many luxuries and securities we take for granted in the US. The people themselve are wonderful, especially when you escape the border towns and cities.

As for retirement, the medical facilities still scare me somewhat. Why not go to Canada for the social services? if you need to stretch your pension
