@Shavona Mondoux  Yes, the experience was night and day compared to learning in a classroom!  I am not a big fan of gurus who charge a lot and give so little in real world experience.  You end up getting excited and pumped up, but you really are no closer to doing your first deal.  I hope someone in your area decides to tackle something similar :-).

@Ty Truong I am planning on posting more stories from flips and wholetail deals that I do. I do talk about my projects a lot with my REI group, but it is in live events, and most people on BP's are not in my local area of Sacramento and Northern, CA.

@David Cruice  Thank you!  It was a great flip and a huge opportunity.  I personally trained over 100 people on flipping inside the home :-)  I turned away a lot of people, simply because I could only hold about 30 people at a time in the living room and in the area we were working!

@Sharron Ames Yes, I spoke last night to 115 real estate investors at my REI meeting, and I walked everyone through this flip from beginning to end. I am sure your meetup group would enjoy the same if it was done in a fun and motivational way. There are always a lot of people at these meetings who have never done a deal and wanting to get started :-)

@Faraad Mohamed  I tend to always use Kelly Moore "Wise Owl" mixed down to 50% in an Eggshell finish for the walls, and just Behr flat ceiling paint because it looks good and is cheap. If you look at the pics above, the walls were painted with the 50% Wise Owl I am mentioning here. I like this color because it looks really good with warm tones, but it also looks pretty good with the gray tones as well.  In the kitchen above, the counters are gray quart and the backsplash has gray grout, but the 50% Wise Owl looks great!

I do go expensive on the baseboard and trim. I use Kelly Moore Durapoxy in semi-gloss, and the color is Swiss Coffee.  I also use the Durapoxy to paint doors and cabinets if they are being painted. It is an exceptional paint, but can be a little hard to get off your clothes or floor once it dries, so do your clean up quickly!

Here in Northern, CA, I have found getting a business account at Kelly Moore is pretty easy as a flipper, and it gives me a good discount on the price.  I hope that helps :-)

@Daniel Carnett  Hi, I put in new cabinets.  I did real wood white shaker with brushed nickel hardware.  I have painted cabinets and stained cabinets many times in the past, but I really wanted this kitchen to look nice :-). I am doing most of my flips right now in white shaker, as they are very popular and the homes sell quickly.

I don't know for sure. I get a lot of BP members who come to my REI meetings. I partner and do deals with some of these people, so it is possible I have made a lot of money from BP's, but not sure. Either way, it is a great place to network, learn, and find deals, etc... I meet people all the time who are on here!

I can't wait to show my flipping versus wholetailing chart tonight!  I think a lot of people are going to be surprised at how easy it is to make really good money with little to no work to the property.

@Christina J.  Thanks!  I am a big fan of teaching inside the property, so I think most of my flipping training will be done this way in the future!

@Shannon Witters  I have heard there is a RE investing group similar to mine in the Bay Area, but I'm not sure of the name?  I do have people drive from the Bay to see me speak and come to my meetings. I actually had a guy at my last meeting who drove 8 hours from so cal to be there!
