I have a tenant (husband) who filed chapter13 and never told me about and he was paying his rent as usual with late fee. When I served noticed with demand-letter, his lawyer then sent me letter that they added me in chapter13. What should I do now to remove myself from chap13?

In advance, thank you for your valuable comments and suggestion.

I have been dealing with habitual tenant who always pay rent late. Per lease, my tenant supposed to pay 1st day of the month which my other tenants do. However, this tenant always paid late 2-5. I let it go without charging late fee. But, tenant is complaining this month that he had death in family and could not pay on-time and will pay on 5th. Now (8th) today, tenant said his money was on-hold by bank and cant be released by bank before 17th. So, he can pay on 17th. Is it possible to bank to hold money for that long? I am not sure why would a bank hold payment for that long? should I start eviction process? I need your professional/experienced advise. Thank you so much for your advise.

What are the steps in Georgia to transfer property to land trust?

Is land trust best option for asset protection?

I don't think it is tenant's negligence; I experienced that of you wash / clean your system outside every 4 months and replace filter regularly if you can avoid similar problems.

I also teach at college and university. I can suggest for your hubby that he can start to teach online and able to spend more time with family.

Joel, thank you and good to know about electronic signing systems.

I am planning to travel few months and I am wondering if my agent can sign the lease on behalf of me (landlord).
