@D'Andre Byers Buy her the house she wants now and then start working your investment plan. If you don’t buy her that home there’s a good chance the home she wants will double in size soon and cost you 2x as much.

A lot of the properties for sale don't pencil.  In this market look at what the future rents will be once you stabilize the units.
