@Joshua McGinnis Thanks! I knew I was going to miss a great market if I didn't move as fast as possible. There will always be a deal, but not like it was a couple years ago! Its nice to see another tech start-up guy operating in Real estate. We should grab a drink and talk shop... All shops...

@Erica R. Thanks for the welcome, and great to see another start-up junkie. I guess real estate attracts a similar mindset as start-ups!

@Annunciata R. I've always been closed off about this kind of advice, but it seems like everyone is very open around here. I have real time alerts setup for the MLS, I'm always the first to call, offer the listing agent both sides, and I pitch myself as an experienced buyer that will close the transaction quickly and easily.

@Ali Boone I am a fixed wing private pilot, VFR. I'm also not current, and will be looking for an instructor sometime soon. I just bought a C150L and I tie it down at Whiteman with my father and brother. They each need to do their full training, and I need to get current.

@Allen Glass A real estate/pilot meet isn't a bad idea... I've got a set of wings and a tie down at Whiteman we can put some lawn chairs under and talk shop for a small group. Or we could just find a restaurant...

My name is Eyal, and I live and invest in the Los Angeles area.

I come from a tech and web start-up background. I am a founding employee and Product Manager at a tech start-up that I helped grow, get acquired, and continues to grow. Beyond being a real estate investor, I am an automotive enthusiast, pilot, and foodie!

I'm young and relatively limited with cash. What I have is mornings, nights, weekends, and drive; I acquire under performing assets, reposition, and rent. I typically focus on value added buy-and-holds, but I will do a flip here and there. I buy deals I can add value to via the typical formula: remodel and re-rent (though sometimes I'll resell to grow the operating fund)

I currently own the following:

West Hollywood - 2 units (Purchased Dec. 2011)

Hollywood - 5 units (Purchased March 2013)

North Hills - 1 unit (Purchased March 2013)

Silverlake - 4 units (Purchased December 2013)

I recently found the BP Podcasts and have been going through them as quickly as I can. They have been great, and have encouraged me to put myself out there on the BP forum to seek out relationships via BP to share my knowledge, and learn from others.
