Thanks for all the good information. I'm going to check out some of the free information before spending any money on the paid ones.

I've located a few vacant properties and I would like to talk to the owners of these places to see if they are interested in selling. I have located all of the owners names but their addresses all lead back to the vacant property. Can anyone recommend a good way to find the address and phone number for the property owners. Are there some free or paid websites that may be better than others?

I have a question about wholesaling a deal. I met an investor the other day that was interested in buying properties in a particular area. After speaking with him I reached out to an agent friend of mine that was able to locate two properties that met the investor's criteria. My question is how to proceed from here? I'm new at this so I need some direction.

Thanks

@Ned Carey. Other than the REIA I visited the other day, do you have any experience with others in the area? I'm working in Columbia would you be interested/available for some coffee or a lunch one day? I would love to discuss some of the deals you are working on.

@Mehran Kamari Thanks for the advice. I've been concentrating on the online class I'm enrolled in. I also have a few other books that I need to read. I am going to check out another REIA next week to see what they are all about. Hopefully not another big sales pitch.

Brandon,

Thanks that was really helpful. I've decided that my next step will not be to drop a few thousand dollars to take the next step.

Thanks everyone for welcoming me. @Brandon Turner my biggest problem with getting going has been me. Over analyzing everything to point where nothing gets done. I started by taking a relatively inexpensive online course that has some really good information. I have visited one of the local REIA's in my area and received the sales pitch know I am trying to figure out what to do next. Business cards, visit and REIA? Just not sure.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Everett M. Brace. I am originally form Washington DC. I currently reside in Lanham MD. I am a audio video project manager that aspires to be a real estate investor. After a failed attempt years ago with a "family friend" I have decided to get back on the horse and try it again. My goals are to start out wholesaling deals and eventually get into rehabbing and flipping properties. I look forward to learning and networking with all of you.
