Thank you everyone means a lot!

@Derrick Lu Honestly my entire family does rentals and I know that I don't wan't to be forced to get up and work.

@Jack Hatton When my grandfather passed he left me around $23,000.00 and I used that money on the down payment of the first Single Family Home. Even with this huge down payment the banks still did not wan't to give me a loan. I had no credit at this time. The only reason that I was able to get the loan was that my Mom Cosigned for the loan.

@Aaron Jones Honestly you will have a hard time, But don't let that stop you from moving forward. You need to get your credit score up first!

@Jeff F. Of course I will be wanting to get another rental! I need about 8 months to be able to get the financing and refinance on one of the rentals to be able to get another one. I am attending college in Troy MI, I am doing the rentals for passive income.

@Jake Thomas Trust me I did! thank you very much!

@Nick Thomas thank you. Angie's list did not even come to my mind.

@John Rogers Very new at this whole idea and just became a Bigger Pockets Member not to long ago. Is there a way to find out if I have a local REIA around me?

Good afternoon everyone. I am currently living in the Capac area. At 18 I have two single family homes, And hopefully if everything goes right another one by 2/1/17 around that time frame. I need to know how to find some contractors any suggestions? The next house I do I would like to find a Fix er Uper, and I do not know how to do everything my self. Thanks for the help.

@Cory Mccarthy yes you understand correctly. Currently 18, and Yes. Well they are not paid off free and clear but I am working them down! I can only thank my Parents for being well off and being able to co-sign the loans for me without them none of this would have been possible. I could not hardly get a Mendards credit card, but i had two house loans in my name. It is a great start! but hey got to start young right!

Thank you everyone, after i purchased my second single family, the loan officer that we use told me about bigger pockets and started listening to the podcasts . Ever since then I have been hooked. Started from number one and I believe I'm on 49!

@Pat West North of i69 and east of m53 if that helps. Where are you from?

@Ayodeji Kuponiyi oh trust me I am, I'm looking at investing as just passive income. I'm going to college but I don't want to be forced to get up in the morning and work. I am on episode 49 of the podcasts started from one.

@David Rawls well small word! I graduated from Brown city. I see you are in Sterling heights. I work around that area. That area to invest in is a little out of my price range!

Thanks everyone for the welcomes !

I personally, now remind you I am only 18. I have two rental, single family homes. I was given some advice that putting each property in to a separate LLC is much easier and a safer way to go. Is it true they can only go after what is in that LLC.Thanks for the help
