Hi @Sanjay Sharma,

I would highly recommend going to the Think Multifamily FIRE Summit in Dallas, Texas!! It’s coming up in a couple weeks on November 11th and 12th. It’s an excellent event with great speakers and you’d be able to meet several multifamily syndicators including Mark Kenney, who is the founder of Think Multifamily.
My husband Josh and I will be attending and would love to meet you as well. We’ve been a part of the Think Multifamily Family Syndication Group for several years now and it’s been great for our syndication business! Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions. I have a discount code available if you have interest in the FIRE Summit event.

Wishing you the best of luck!

Emily

Hey David,

Another event coming up in a few weeks (local to you in Texas) is the Think Multifamily FIRE Summit on November 11th-12th in Dallas, TX. Not sure if you are familiar with Mark Kenney of Think Multifamily, but his event would be another good one to look into!  My husband and I have been a part of their Family Syndication Group for a few years now with great results in our syndication business.  I'm more than happy to share details of our experience in the group if that would be helpful to you at all.

I don't know personally of any multifamily coaches you can hire for a few hours versus joining their mentorship program, but I hope you find what you are looking for!  The Jake and Gino MM5 looks like it's going to be a great event.

Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Emily

Hi @Ezra Robinson,

Happy to share from our personal experiences. We made the switch from purchasing single family rentals/smaller apartments about 5 years ago.  We wanted to learn how to syndicate 100+ unit apartments, so we started looking for a mentor.  We ended up joined Think Multifamily, based out of Dallas, TX.  We built our syndication team with Mark, other members of the group, and reputable brokers, property managers, etc.  We use the same mortgage broker and attorney on all our syndications.  It's been a great experience and we've built a lot of meaningful relationships in the business.  I hope this helps. Best of luck to you!

Hi @Grant Spruill,

Congrats on the deal you will be closing in March!!

A great class that we have attended that has been really helpful for us is the Deal Analysis workshop put on by Think Multifamily in Dallas, TX.  The deal analyzer created by Mark Kenney of Think Multifamily is top notch, very comprehensive and detailed.  I'd personally say it's the best analyzer you'll find.  The 2-day workshop will deep dive into how to use the analyzer and underwrite large apartments.

Think Multifamily does also offer a coaching/mentorship program.  My husband and I have been a part of the Family Syndication Group for several years and it has really helped our syndication business!

We live in Oregon, but travel regularly to Dallas for events in the group.  I'd be happy to discuss more in detail with you about our experience in the group.

Best of luck to you!

Thanks,

Emily

Hi @Allison Macalik!

My advice would be to find a mentor and get involved in a multifamily group.  That way you can learn from an expert on how to successfully purchase a large 100+ unit apartment complex and get involved as a general partner.  Back in 2017, my husband and I found Think Multifamily based in Dallas, TX.  Joining their mentorship program allowed us to learn the ropes of syndication and get involved as general partners on several larger multifamily apartments.  We really resonated with Mark and @Tamiel Kenney of Think Multifamily and the amazing people in the TMF group.  It's been over 3 years now since we've joined their group and our business has really grown.  If you have any interest in getting on a call, feel free to reach out.  Josh and I love meeting other investors!

Hi @Randy Mattila,

Always nice to connect with other investors in the PNW!  I can relate to you and your wife's journey of investing.  My husband, Josh, and I have been investing in large multifamily apartments since late 2017.  Before that we owned 29 doors; 5 single family homes, a fourplex and a 20-unit apartment complex in Oregon.  We were planning to continue down the path of investing in single family and smaller multifamily units, but decided in 2017 that we wanted to grow bigger faster so we started looking more into larger multifamily apartment syndications.

Josh ended up going to a Think Multifamily conference in Dallas TX in October of 2017 and he really resonated with Mark and @Tamiel Kenney of Think Multifamily, and we ended up joining their mentorship program!  For us, this was a pivotal point in our investing journey and we have fully transitioned to multifamily syndication since.  We've been able to grow our portfolio from 29 doors to about 2,900.  If you have any interest in getting on a call with us, both Josh and I always love chatting with other investors and sharing our experiences.  We have been general partners on several syndications thanks to our involvement in the Think Multifamily group.  It's been a fun journey to say the least :)  Feel free to reach out to me if you're interested in getting on a call.

Wishing you all the best on your investing journey!

Hey @Daniel L Zavala,

Not sure what where in Washington you live, but my husband Josh and I live in the Portland, Oregon area, and we always love meeting other like-minded investors in our area! Josh is a mortgage broker by day, and then together we invest in multifamily apartments around the country, mainly in the southeast states, and no longer investing in the PNW. Feel free to reach out if interested. We’d love to connect!

Thanks,

Emily

Hey @Roger Covin,

My recommendation would be Think Multifamily, based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area!  Have you heard of them before? My husband @Josh Houser and I have been a part of their group for just over three years now and it has been a game changer for our real estate business!  We made the switch from single family homes to multifamily syndications back in October of 2017 when we joined Think Multifamily and it has completely changed the trajectory of our business!  We live in the Portland, OR area so we travel a lot to Texas to be with the group.  I'd be happy to answer any questions you have or we can share our experiences over the past three years if that's at all helpful.  Mark and @Tamiel Kenney are putting on their next Think Multifamily deal analysis workshop on April 22nd-25th in Dallas; it's a great event you might want to check out.

Feel free to reach out if I can be of any help.  Best of luck to you!

@Joseph Wise, we'd love to join you if you do put a mastermind together!  We've been to the Real Estate Guys Syndication seminar several times as well.  Wondering if we've met at any of their events.  Let me know how we can help!

Thanks,

Emily
