personally, if I won something that big, I would definitely spend a lot of time doing things only a single young guy can do with that kind of money.

and yes I would invest it as well, but probably stay away from real estate for the most part (besides my dream of owning a las vegas hotel/casino. I would probably do some kind of shark tank dealio and work with cool startups with bright ideas. That seems more fulfilling to me.

Its actually one of my dreams to own a hotet/casino/nightclub in vegas so I'm following this although it does sound pretty far off. when you say you need money for the DP are you asking for like...all of it...or 50/50

@Frank Wolter Awesome Story! The hard work and self management parts of it really resonated with me.

I do have a couple questions. I was wondering how long it took you to get to 122 mortgage free units off of your police salary/rental income. Even if I stuffed all my W2 money and profits from rentals back into paying off my current mortgages it would take at least 10 years.

Were your properties generally lower valued with higher rents aka 35k sfh with 850 in rents etc?

again, congrats on all your success!

instead of an FHA for the next one, why not just a 5% conventional loan? assuming an extra 1.5% downpayment isn't out of the question

Have a parent or guardian be a co-signer. you can also use gift money if you're going to live in the unit

That looks awesome. Any reason why you kept the radiating heat instead of doing central heating/cooling?
