Welcome back into the game and to BP Peter. Nice seeing someone working so close, I just aquired my first property in New Britain. BP is loaded with unlimited resources and knowledge and is what really gave me the confidence to make things happen. Good luck!

Holly Scanlon It amazes me how many local people there are on BP. I am planning on attending my first CTREIA meeting Aug12th to further network with local RE people. I have yet to purchase my own rental property. I put in a few offers but have yet to have any stick. I got involved in the first apartment through a family friend. He had the apartment for a while but never had the time to get it rent ready and go through the process. I was fortunate enough to have him give me the opportunity to take it on as my own and still manage the property for him today.

I am still in the process of figuring out exactly what it is I want to do with REI. I know my long term goal is to get into apartment buildings but short term is fix&flip, fix&rent and buy&rent. I think the biggest challenge I have had is finding leads. I found some off the MLS but have yet to get any from wholesalers or private sellers in areas I want to invest in. Right now I am working on my marketing plan to get more leads coming in so I can act on them when the right one comes across.

Thanks @Brandon Turner, look forward to reading the many blogs and posts I have missed.

Hi @Karin DiMauro, thanks for the warm welcome! I just signed up as a quest for the CTREIA but have yet to get the full membership. I plan on getting one soon and attending the next meeting, hope to see you there.

Hello all from CT! I am new to BP as a member, although I have been researching here for a while. I just updated my profile so feel free to check it out. Just a quick run down about myself, I'm a full time environmental engineer finally ready to start jumping into the game. I just started managing my first apartment for a family friend and am looking into getting into multi family rentals and SFH rentals/flips. I have just been approved for my first house! Time to start the hunt for something that fits my criteria(owner-occupy, SF that needs some sweat equity). Can't wait to meet everyone on BP that is local as well as everyone else looking for connections and willing to give advice. Thanks for reading a little about myself, I look forward to gaining knoweldge from all of you and hopefully I can return the favor.
