I'm loving reading these posts!!! Many of you already said that mentorship can be so valuable in helping move forward quicker. But not everyone is in he same place and has the same financial abilities or goals. I am a Certified High Performance Coach that works with mostly real estate investors. And I OFTEN have conversations with clients or potential clients around the value that investing in YOURSELF can provide an investor. I do think that if someone is 100% committed to their personal/professional investment, that the ROI is massive. Even as a coach, I typically have my own coaches too. Because I've seen how much more momentum people can get with help. You might also want to think about the difference between mentorship and coaching. Sometimes both can come in the same package. But mentorship is typically logistical help to make your next move from something who (hopefully) has been there, done that. Coaching actually can be much more expansive than that. A great coach helps pull out of your what your next best steps are, how to overcome the barriers in your way (logistical or even mental) and get more momentum. Just some thoughts!!

@Gabriella D'Alessio, congratulations on jumping into the game!! The fear of making a mistake is a challenge that a LOT of people have had to struggle through... and some don't actually get through it.  So I applaud you for acting in the face of your fear.  You're doing a great thing by jumping into the content to learn. I'll share that sometimes getting more info (too many podcasts- ha ha) can actually activate the fear again.  So find a great balance between learning and action.  Learn a little piece, take action. Learn the next thing you need to know, and take action again. I am a Certified High Performance Coach that works with mostly real estate investors.  If you're curious about some specific support and growth in this area, I'd be happy to have a call with you..  No cost, no pressure.  Just an hour with an opportunity for growth.

You might consider Real Broker.  If you've entertained Exp (@Melissa Haworth), Real is similar but actually less expensive in splits and other things.  A quick call could give you all the details. My hubby is the Broker for Wyoming and knows all the ins and outs, even with other brokerages.  Let me know.

I have a STR in Florida and twice now my insurance companies are cancelling because they're pulling out of the market. FL is hard to insure!!! I hope you can find something reasonably priced.

I love your openness in your question!! Yes you're an investor!!  Some people have the intent to invest before they own.  You ended up owning before having the intent to invest.  You're in a wonderful position with the houses you have.  And that you're thinking about moving into a new personal residence is wonderful.  In the journey of investing, there is a lot of personal growth that can happen and that you'll be faced with.  Getting more clarity around your end goals with investing, how to maintain the family life you're trying to create, how to move forward with courage.  I'm a High Performance Coach and love working with investors.. helping them reach higher levels of vision, joy, satisfaction, and results.  Initial strategy sessions are complimentary.  If you're curious about what that is like, message me!  I'd love to meet you.

How is your coaching business going?

It keeps me busy (outside of the time I spend on my own investments) and it's quite rewarding.  Like many investors/ entrepreneurs, helping contribute to the life of others is a core value.

Hi Alexander!! I actually work with the Michael Blank organization and my coaching organization provides the ongoing certified high performance coaching that is part of the mentorship program.  As any program, you get out of it as much as you put into it. However, TMB is a highly organized organization and is very growth minded, bringing its members along.  The mentorship sessions, coaching sessions, and live events are very powerful.  They also have a guarantee that if you don't close your first deal in the 1st year of the program, they'll continue to mentor you until you get your first deal.  I've been very impressed with them!!

Approaching others for money or partnership can be challenging!! The most important factors in these steps are 1) being known and 2) being trustworthy.  Start with the people in your immediate sphere of influence that could potentially fit the bill.  Create a possible scenerio or two and create a presentation on what a partnership would look like (examples). And have a face to face meeting to discuss it.  Regardless if they say yes or no, ask they what lead them to say that.  This will give you great feedback on what to do or what to change for next time.  PS- I'm a high performance coach and do a lot of work with clients on helping them grow in their confidence and courage as they build more relationships in their professional life.  I'd be happy to talk further if you'd like to learn more.

Love this question!!  I'm actually a high performance coach and over half my clients are real estate investors.  A lot of what I see (and work with clients on) is gaining a stronger vision and purpose.  Because without that solid clarity around where the investor is headed ultimately, the actions because slow, erratic, and lack cohesiveness.

Congratulations on making progress on your journey!!! I'd suggest that you find two important people to be on your real estate team. Find a mentor... someone that has the exact experience and background that you're doing in your REI so that you can benefit from their experience and their mistakes. This helps you move faster. The second... is find a coach. A coach is different than a mentor because a coach is able to help you gain momentum through your own growth. You, your family, your vision, your priorities, your mindset, your fears, your productivity... these & more are able to be expertly focused on for your growth. Because we know when YOU grow, your life grows and you can move faster and with more satisfaction to your goals. (PS- I'm a certified high performance coach and would love to give you a taste of what that style of coaching is through a strategy session. Reach out if you'd like to take me up on that free session.)
