Glad you found this site. You can learn a lot just by asking a few questions or skimming through the toolbar on the top of this site. I love seeing other people from long island on here. I'm a realtor from Massapequa. I work with my mom whose been doing it for over 25 years. I'd love to get into buy-and-holds once I get the capital as well. My mother and I work out of the Douglas Elliman office on Sunrise Hwy in pequa. We have a good friend that we work with in the office that's big into investments, and scouring deals for contractors. So all three of us have been working as a team recently. If you ever wanted to come in to the office and have a chat, we'd be happy to talk about your options and answer any questions you have!

Start off by checking out the top tool bar and browsing through the podcasts and blogs, they will sum up most of your questions. @Ujwal Velagapudi Oh wow, that definitely gives me a better idea of what we're talking about here. Thanks for the numbers though. I'm trying to use outside state numbers compared to numbers from where I live to find out if you can still make the same amount of money. Right now a 3 unit rental strip would be nowhere even close to 20k on long island. So I'm trying to figure out if I pay more for the property and have higher rents, would I still make the same amount of money or more compared to if I just bought out of state where its cheaper.
