Hello BP,

I've been researching what it takes to get a Realtor's license but would any of you advise getting a license versus finding an agent? Is it best in the long term to obtain a license? What are the pros and cons of having a Realtor license? I've mainly looked into this due to the MLS Report. I would like to acces it, when I please and also to cut cost of paying an agent for finding a deal for me.

Hello BP,

Has/does anyone invest in the northern California area? How is the market out there? Would any one advise investing in this area?

I currently live in Southern California and I would like to keep my options open. Northern California is far but not too bad and at least I would be in the same state has my potential investment. My prospective market is wholesaling, buy and hold, and flipping.

My name is Doris and I am very new to all of this. I first began my research in college but never really followed through with the idea due to personal and financial reasons. Now that I have graduated and things are much better, I would really like to pursue this full hardheartedly. I found bigger pockets on youtube and I began listening to podcast, more youtube videos, checking out this site, and reading about some of the investors on here. So far, I absolutely love this site, this site is amazing. And I would like to make my first real purchase in earlier part of 2014 depending on the knowledge I obtain.

I am seeking to rent Multi-family properties and maybe selling in the long run. I live in southern California but I'm willing to look elsewhere and again that depends on my knowledge. I am looking forward to join investment clubs/organizations in my area, books, movies, more podcasts, whatever the case may be. I'm very determined about this and any help or information that can be passed my way. I would surely appreciate it.

Also, is "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" as good as everyone makes it seem?
