I agree with you TN Apprentice that "objective analysis" is a good thing. At the same time I think we can all see the difference between objective analysis and inciteful, inflammatory, and downright insulting comments.

Many of us haven't slept in weeks and I'm only asking non-investors to show some sensitivity here at this difficult time.

Joshua (Site Administrator),

A short while back you deleted a response I made to a non-investor who had attacked my character. His attack wasn't deleted; yet part of my response was. (I said "Get a Life.") I just spent an hour rereading the 13 posts from tms - only 2 of which were free of what I would call inflammatory comments. I have a hard time understanding why you would post a warning statement directed only to us shaky investors (and even go so far as to delete our comments) while allowing inflammatory posts like his to continue unabated.

Here are some inciteful tms comments in chronological order;

Enough is enough! In light of the situation I'd say it's tms who's being "nasty" here. All I can say is that 95% of us emotionally drained 'members' are fed up with being continually put down and taunted. Tms claimed to be doing this to "warn" potential investors so you should have reminded him several weeks ago that he needn't worry about that anymore.

I think he should have been cautioned long ago to use some sensitivity before this boiled over to the point where WE'RE now being admonished for merely reacting to his fear mongering.

You tell 'em, Bigman!!

Go Pinnacle!!

BRILLIANT!!

Looks like they;

A) Don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon

B) Have nothing to hide

C) Really are serious about phasing in their new program and getting back to business as usual.

>This is the best post I've read all week!!

I hope you'll share your impressions of the new venture with the rest of us when you get back.

Are you an attorney, tms?

Obviously you believe Pinnacle is a fraud. In that case why would they bother to leave their doors open, placate investors and roll out a new program? They're presently incuring payroll, security and expensive leasing costs... Seems like everybody I've talked to agrees that scammers close up shop overnight once they get wind the Feds are looking in.

Also, some investors I've spoken with on the phone swear they've received tracking numbers which confirm their mail is "in the system". Why continue to pay investors if the intent is to keep the money?

I may be naive, but everyone I've ever dealt with at Pinnacle appears to be acting in Good Faith. As far as I can tell they're only guilty of falling behind right now. By next week it will likely be clear which way this is going but in the meantime we're all trying to remain hopeful.

In any case current investigations are not likely affected either way by this ongoing discussion - so our "decision" to act or not act is probably pointless. I look at the Forum as a support group and the best place to keep abreast of what's happening.

I strongly agree with the prevailing comments that we should wait to see if the checks that went out this week get received & the funds are good. Keep us posted, rdc!

It would be great if someone from Pinnacle would post a statement explaining the delays; but in any event I can't see how it would benefit any of us if we push the issue and cause their funds to get frozen.

I understand that plaintiffs in class-action lawsuits receive crumbs (years later) while the attorneys on both sides end up with the lion's share of recovered monies since they drag it out forever.

Though I'd love to understand the role of real estate in all of this I can't see how learning the location/status of these properties will aide anyone in getting their money back at this point. Real estate is not liquid. It can't be sold overnight. My rep told me that Mr. O'Neal set things up so that at any given time all investors could be paid off at the end of their cycles if necessary. Though I can't imagine how that would be possible I'll have to hope that's true as I'm not privy to the details of this complex business model.

These delays are causing me to lose sleep but I don't see any other option right now other than waiting it out. It's a bummer, but we all got in on this knowing that a transparent business model would not be shared with us; we're dreaming to think Mr. O'Neal is going to come on this Forum and start explaining everything to our satisfaction right now!

I'm on the west coast (no Wachovia banks) and other than flying half way across the country to obtain a cashier's check I'm wondering if any of you have any good suggestions for avoiding a painfully long holding period. I called Wachovia & asked if I could Overnight my check and have an east coast friend get the cashier's check; they said no. Any tips???

I inadvertently deleted my private messages this week so if you were expecting a response, please try again.

Someone told me today that USPS tracking only kicks in once the letter has been delivered; not when it was sent or is enroute.

Ponzi schemes are intentionally set up to defraud investors out of their money and personally enrich the schemer. When they get caught with their pants down these people let the phones ring, lock the doors and flee the country.

Pinnacle has done none of that. Three weeks after word broke of a possible investigation, all of them are still at work busy returning investors money and developing a new program first devised in July.

If the intent is to swindle people out of their money, it doesn't follow that they would be going to such efforts to keep their agreements and send it all back right now.

Hey everybody -

Everyday more & more investors are finding their way to this website and airing their understandable anxiety.

Let's take stock of this situation. Pinnacle has been completely open about the fact that they are currently a few days behind processing checks. They now use USPS which takes days longer than FedEx Overnight.

Changing their business model, a possible investigation, issuing checks and closing out accounts - all of this takes longer than business as usual. Please consider the fact that their phone lines are getting inundated with calls from panicky investors wanting assurances that their money will be returned. (2200 total investors)

From the posts listed in this Forum, more than a dozen of us have done just that. We're all being told the same thing;"Everyone will receive their principal & returns at the end of their current 60 day cycle."

To those of you who haven't called yet please consider holding off til the company gets a chance to get back on it's feet. I strongly believe that if we panic and overwhelm their resources the company may well get even further behind hindering our chances to get paid at all.

At this point I don't see any advantage to tying up their lines. Calling won't get anyone their money any sooner. We all knew there was risk involved with this investment so let's buck up and try to stay calm during this unsettling time. Painful as it is, all we can do right now is wait it out.

On Saturday I suggested showing our appreciation to their over-worked staff by ordering pizza for them. I'll bet working there is unbelievably stressful right now. Does anybody else have any constructive ideas?

Thank you, Joshua!

I posted a generic question regarding Pinnacle after all threads on another website had been locked. As an investor (2 accounts) I felt it was important to have a forum available to share information. After putting in a call to find out why they were altering their program I received my statement which appeared to contradict how I had heard they were handling new funds. Turns out my check had already been mailed back to me so I was anxious for nothing.

So far so good! Go Pinnacle!

To the rest of you investors - I have been thinking about ordering pizza for all the employees down there to show my appreciation for all their hard work. I can only imagine how brutal the past couple weeks have been for them. ...Any suggestions??
