I am new to the real estate world but have been slowly working on building a meet up in the northern oregon coast. It’s only a couple of us now but would love to spread the word. Please send me a direct message if you or anyone on this thread would like to meet up. I live in Seaside, we have been meeting in Astoria.

Brian Bradley hey brian, you gave me some great advice for financing. Was wondering if you had any insight into this topic. I posted about a week ago. I was going to just message you but your advice was great last time, figured I’d share this one if you had any thoughts.

Are there special laws for being a landlord when I get my own home and rent out rooms. Does anyone have any resources for that. Or if I get a duplex are their special laws for me as a landlord living in one side or is that pretty similar to just having a regular tenant in a separate home

I am looking for my first home. Either a single family to house hack or a small multi family. I got approved on a loan. Only for about 120,000k which doesn’t get much in my area. My credit is average and I have about 13,000 in consumer debt. I have a very strict plan and have been working 3 jobs and started 2 business (side hustles) to pay that off and get my credit up. I am extremely motivated and focused and should have it payed of by end of summer and have my credit score up..... I really want to get into own house but know getting rid of that debt would get me a better loan and free up cash and make me a lot more stable in my first home. As I am not sitting on much for a saving s account... The kicker here is my mom is willing to co-sign and put up a down payment to help me get started. If I use her I can probably get into a place soon. But I would rather do it on my own. And either way I should probably take care of my personal finances first. Thoughts????

Hey Alex! Awesome to see someone reply to my post. I don’t come down to Lincoln City often, but would be willing to meet up. Maybe half way. To possibly start something. I am going to my first meetup on the 14th in Salem this month. The Northwest REIA does a round table meet up every second Thursday of the month. I’ve been wanting to go and I think I can make it this month. Do you know anything about it?

Hello All, I am brand new to bigger pockets, and looking to start a future of investing into residential and commercial real estate. As of now I am interested In learning how to acquire financing, find good deals on properties, develop legal professional partnerships and tax professional partnerships, and finding good tenants. I'm sure along the way I will find a million other topics I want to learn. I am wondering if anyone wants to start a meetup near Seaside, OR. I am willing to travel to near by towns. We can start by just meeting and go from there to see if we can build a local community of investors on the northern Oregon coastal towns. Dillyn Saurdiff
