You definitely need a nice size car if you are going to be doing repairs your self. I was doing the same thing with my first purchase and i have a Honda Civic sedan which was very hard to haul stuff in. I would recommend buying a small pick up truck like a Ford Ranger or Toyota Tacoma they go for around 10-15k, you can find cheaper ones. I would try to avoid leasing/loaning a car since this is going to be your first purchase. Or i would wait until after you have purchased your home to buy a car. You want you loan approval, APR etc to be the best you can get it at. Feel free to reach out to me shall you have further questions. Good luck.

I would use something that is fuel efficient. All day of driving clients around in a truck that large is like $60 eventually it adds up. You want to cut costs where ever you can. I would only use this vehicles in situations where you are certain there is going to be enough people going to fill the capacity. Thats why taxis are now mostly Toyota Prius instead of the Ford Crown Victoria. Hope this helps.

Do you own any real estate at the moment? I would have purchased a rental or some sort of investment prior to quitting my day job. I would recommend finding a job asap and then finding a single family foreclosure or something cheap you can rent out and make a decent cash flow off of every month. I don't know how much you have saved up but know that once you purchase this investment and if it exhausts your savings, its going to be a long while before you can save to purchase another one. Unless the job you find pays very well. Good luck with everything wish you well 👍

I use thumbtack for my projects. You can also use www.homeadvisor.com and www.houzz.com as well as Angie's list.
