Hello, my name is Joe Detlefsen and I live in Olympia Washington. I've been on BP for a while just lurking. And then Mr. Brandon Turner telling me to go fill one of these things out on the podcast got me to commit. I graduated with an engineering degree out of Western Washington University but then realized how boring that would actually be. I want to be a real estate investor. Not just one of the people that say they want to do it and then never commit.. But one of the guys that makes this decision and then sticks with it. I don't want to be stuck in that traditional world all of my closest friends seem to think is the "right" way to live. That's just not my style, not my ideal life. That's why I'm here! I'll be a guest on that podcast in due time! I look forward to meeting you Josh and Brandon!

Thank you all so much for the advice. The only reason why I ask is because I know there are some down sides to having your license and investing at the same time. I do not want to be a real estate agent as a career. I really am only interested in getting it to better my future investing adventures. Thanks again!

Hello all. I am very new here. In fact, this is my first post. Yesterday I listened to an old BP podcast that mentioned a few things about becoming a real estate agent when investing. My question is, what is your opinion on having your real estate license to better your investing career? What are the pros and cons to being an investor with a real estate license? This might end up being my first step towards my RE Investing career!
