Thanks that makes a lot of sense. I’ve read a few bigger pockets books and I saw these three at the books store so I got them and was curious if people had read them in a certain order.

I’m the opposite of you. Live in Carlsbad and work in vista.

Thanks for the advice!

Hi everyone,

I’m a new investor and I have 3 books I want to read. Millionaire real estate investor, the book on rental property investing, and long distance real estate investing. I was curious which order I should read them in. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Post: How much to save for Capex

Hi everyone,

I had a quick question. How much should I save for Capex and repairs. I know a lot of people do 5% but that's 5% can be very different depending on where the property is. Is there just a number people use like $100 for each?

Thanks for the help!

Hi everyone,

I am a new investor and I was curious. Does your percentage you save for capex, maintenance and other expenses change depending on the value of your property? Or do investors usually save the same percentage. How much different are expenses for a $700,000 rental in San Francisco compared to a $100,000 elsewhere, assuming same bedrooms and SQF.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks!

Hi guys,

I’m a new investor and curious about comps.

Is there a place to look at comps? Or do people just look at Zillow or places like that?

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I’m a new investor and was noticing foreclosures in my area. Does anyone know a good book on foreclosures? Or advise on the best way to buy them? I’ve read you can find some good deals with some foreclosures.

Thanks

Derek
